18th annual high desert golf classic

Plans are underway for the 18th Annual High Desert Golf Classic sponsored by the Wickenburg Chamber. The event is on Saturday from 9:00am -5:00 p.m. at Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club, 3312 Maverick Drive, Wickenburg AZ. The High Desert Classic is a four person scramble with reverse shot-gun start at
9:00 a.m. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $95.00 per person or $380.00 per foursome and includes green fees, cart, prizes and dinner.

23rd Annual Fly-In & Classic Car Show

Plans are underway for the 23rd annual   Fly-In & Classic Car Show sponsored by the Wickenburg Chamber, and Town of Wickenburg Airport Advisory Commission. The event is on Saturday from 7:00am -11:00 a.m. at the Wickenburg Municipal Airport-Wellik Field. During the day you'll have an opportunity   to view a variety of aircraft flying into the event, classic cars on display,  and learn more about the services available   at the airport. The Chaparral Pancake breakfast and other food items will be served from 7-11:00 a.m Information and other vendors on site. Bluegrass Festival-38th Annual- November 10-12th, 2017

The Four Corner States Bluegrass Festival on November 10-12th, 2017 is sponsored by the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, and is one of the oldest bluegrass festivals in the Southwest. " The featured bands for the 38th Annual Bluegrass Festival are "Wood & Wire" , "Dry Branch Fire Squad" and  "High Plains Tradition".

At the festival you will find food & drink concessions, arts/crafts, and a designated Kids Zone. Organizers prohibit bringing in alcoholic beverages, food, dogs, and coolers, but please visit our beer booth and our great food vendors.  There is also an abundance of Arts & Crafts and Retail Vendors.  Covered bleacher seating is available.  Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit on if desired.     Schedule of Events

Camping Rules

Camping (DRY ONLY) opens on Monday Nov. 6 thru Thursday at $18.00 per night per vehicle.

Limited Tent Camping will be available for the weekend for $20.

Reserved RV weekend camping at $50 for 3-days; Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Friday Saturday Sunday.  $60 after October 5th

29th Annual Cowboy Christmas Poetry Gathering

December 1-2, 2017 We invite you to visit our western community for this special heritage event. The Cowboy Reception is on Friday, December 1st and includes beer/wine and appetizers at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, located at 21 North Frontier Street. Several of our featured cowboy poets & entertainers will be performing to give you a small taste of what will be featured at the Saturday Night show. Limited tickets are available for the reception @$10 per person advance/ $20 at the door. The featured cowboy poet's performance scheduled on Saturday, December 2, 7:00 p.m. at the Wickenburg Community Center, 160 N. PRESS RELEASE: IMMEDIATE Enjoy the beauty of the holiday season amid the glittering lights of the 22nd Annual Christmas Parade of Lights “Out Wickenburg Way”! More than 30 floats will fill the streets of downtown Wickenburg on December 8th starting at 6:30pm. Starting on East Yavapai and continuing down Historic Frontier Street the parade route will then turn onto Apache Street from Frontier Street and disband at the Wickenburg Community Center parking lot at 160 N. Valentine street. Some of the highlights include: Miss Kitty the 1937 Chevrolet Van Pelt fire engine will return this year adorned with lights and holiday spirit, Classy Classic Cars, Madam Mirah & Rasin’ Cane from Arizona Legends Ghost Tours, Smokey the Bear and his Weaver Mountain BLM crew as they show us how to spread holiday cheer. Of course two very special guests will also be joining us again this year, for all good little boys & girls. Awards will be presented at the WCO Garcia Little Red Schoolhouse gazebo where Santa will hear children’s wishes.  Cocoa, hot cider and cookies will be handed out.  The location is north of Tegner and Yavapai street in the Bashas’ Frontier Center. It is not too late to get your entry in! Parade Route and Information: The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. on Yavapai Street in front of the Wickenburg Christian School, traveling to historic Frontier Street near the Chamber of Commerce Office and continuing down Frontier, to Apache Street turning left on Apache and ending at the Community Center.  Join us at the  " Little Red Schoolhouse" 245 N. Tegner Street Awards ribbons will be given to the winners in each category, and the "Best Over-All" Entry will receive the "Tinsel Award" A panel of civic leaders will judge the parade entries.  Announcers will be stationed at Wickenburg Christian School,  Wickenburg Unified School District, Desert Caballeros Western Museum, in  front of the historic Santa Fe Depot-Wickenburg Chamber Office and Remuda Ranch on Frontier Street. Contact:  (928) 684-5479.

WESTERN FUN RIDES IN WITH THE 70th ANNUAL GOLD RUSH DAYS-February 9-11, 2018 Information: This event celebrates the town’s origins as a ranching & gold mining center in the days before there was a Phoenix.  The heritage event was founded 70 years ago, and today Gold Rush Days draws tens of thousands of visitors, during the     3 ½ days of activities. Gold Rush Days most significant recognition is from the Library of Congress, whereas Gold Rush Days is one of America’s Living Legacies.   The Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce is the proud producer of the celebration each year, along with partners and sponsors. Carnival: Brown’s Amusements Family Fun Carnival opens at 4:00 p.m., in the downtown district on February 8ththru February 12th at 6pm. A LIMITED number of discount tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce, 216 N. Frontier Street, for Carnival Patrons.   Tickets are also sold at the carnival. The National Senior Pro Rodeo and Open Rough Stock, Admission: $15 adults, $12 seniors, $5 students (13-17), children (5-12) $3 & under 5 are Free. Gates open at Noon.  Tickets available at the Chamber office, at the gate or online (when available) The National Senior Pro Rodeo Association selected the 2013 Gold Rush Days Rodeo as their “Rodeo of the Year”. Gold Rush Parade: The parade theme is "Ropin' the West" is on Saturday the 10th at 10:00 a.m., and one of the largest in Arizona with over 100 entries including 1,000 horses within the entry classes, Classic Automobiles, floats, marching bands, and youth groups will also be participating. Named #3 Parade by Arizona Edventures' Top Ten Parades to attend in Arizona!! Old Fashion Melodrama: The Desert Stagers present an Old Fashioned Melodrama -February 9th-11th with evening performances beginning at 7 p.m. in the historic Saguaro Theater.  Tickets available at Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce office. Opening Ceremonies: The official opening gets underway on Friday, February 9th during the Opening Ceremonies on Frontier Street at 10:00 a.m. with a gunslinger-stuntman Joey Dillon, and gold rush officials kicking off the event. Classic Car Show: Friday is the only day you will be able to see beautiful classic cars on Frontier Street from 9am -2 p.m.    Artisan Fair: The main festival area on Valentine Street in the historic district will see 150 exhibitors at the Wickenburg Art Club artisan fair, &  juried art show, family fun carnival, free stage entertainment, gold panning, 150 arts/crafts, and much more from 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m., 928-684-5479

3rd Annual Vintage Marketplace
