Each year, the Chamber organizes Welcome Packs for all new and returning teachers and administrators in the Wickenburg Unified School District. This is a great opportunity for members to promote their businesses. The cost is $10 to insert one promotional item (ex. pens, notepads, magnets, coupons, brochures) with your company name or logo. Bring us $10 and 100 items; we'll handle the rest!

Western fun rides in during the 75th Annual Gold Rush Days

This event celebrates Wickenburg’s origins as a ranching & gold mining center in the days before Phoenix was established. The heritage event was founded 75 years ago, and today Gold Rush Days draws tens of thousands of visitors during the 3 ½ days of activities. Gold Rush Days most significant recognition is from the Library of Congress, “whereas Gold Rush Days is one of America’s Living Legacies.” The Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce is the proud producer of the celebration each year, along with partners and sponsors.

Winners Announced at the 93rd Annual Chamber Awards Dinner

On Saturday, January 13, the Wickenburg Chamber celebrated the new year at the 93 ^rd Annual Awards Dinner at Rancho de los Caballeros. 140 Chamber members were in attendance during the evening. Outgoing Chamber Board President Karla Mortimer passed on the honorary cowbell and welcomed incoming President Kathy Clark.

Eleven past Chamber Presidents were in attendance, including Royce Kardinal, Ken Heineman, Jim Hartman, Kristi Henson, Cindy Logan, Jason Rovey, Brenda Hershkowitz, Geri Fair, and Kelly Blunt. Additionally, Mayor Rui Pereira, Councilwoman Rovey, Councilwoman Bratcher, and Town Manager Erno were present.

Moonshot Rural Arizona Pitch Competition Comes to Wickenburg

This is your chance to expand your business or take your new idea to the next level.

The Yavapai College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partnering with Moonshot to present the 5th annual Moonshot Rural Pitch Competition. The Shark-Tank style entrepreneurship contest is coming back to Yavapai County.

"Whether you’re an entrepreneur with a moonshot start-up idea or a seasoned founder with a business you’d like to expand, participation in this event hones your business skills and assists in moving your business forward."

Moonshot will be visiting 16 communities across rural Arizona, making a stop in Wickenburg on February 23.

"In addition to competing to win cash prizes and Moonshot scholarships, entrants will also receive start-up and pitch education, coaching, and pitch practice opportunities from the expert team of certified business analysts at the Yavapai College SBDC. No cost, confidential coaching and mentorship is offered for each event and ongoing after the pitch tour is over.

Marie Platowski-Beals, Certified Business Analyst with the SBDC, has coached hundreds of Yavapai business owners including the 2022 state-wide Moonshot pitch winner. “This is a great opportunity for any business owner to get started or to expand their business into new markets,” Platowski-Beals stated. “Our team is there for each participant during the tour, and long after it is over.”

The competition continues to empower business owners and provides opportunities to learn new skills. Participants prepare, practice, and perfect a 5-minute pitch presentation for a panel of judges who select the finalists. Winners at each local event will go on to compete in the state-wide competition for a $10,000 cash prize. The final event will be held in Cottonwood in August of 2024."

Vulture Mountains Recreation Area: Project Information

Maricopa County Parks Launches Vulture Mountains Project Page

Maricopa County Parks & Recreation has now launched the project page for the Vulture Mountains Recreation Area located just south of Wickenburg.

"For nearly two decades, the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department (Parks) has worked closely with The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Bureau of Land Management Phoenix District Office (BLM), and the Town of Wickenburg to expand recreational services in the northwest portion of our county."

Phase 1 of the project began in 2022. Read more about the history of this project and future timeline on the Maricopa County Parks website .

The Wickenburg Community Hospital Pharmacy has partnered with the Leadership Prescription Club to offer The Leader Card.

Those who are uninsured or under-insured and would like to receive help with prescription costs can sign up for this club and receive affordable medications at the Wickenburg Community Hospital Pharmacy.

Annual enrollment costs just $10 and allows families to have access to over 5,000 generic and brand name medications at a discounted rate. A list of covered medications and frequently asked questions are provided below.
