Transportation Services – Wickenburg

Wickenburg Bus

Residents and visitors have the option of taking the 20-passenger mini ADA accessible Wickenburg Connector

Bus launched a year ago with Valley Metro from Prop. 400 funds.

The regional connector route – Route 660 travels between Wickenburg and Arrowhead
Towne Center in Glendale. Four round trips and five fixed stops each day, Monday – Friday.  Saturday has 2 round trips scheduled. Flexible stops, up to ¾ mile from the route, are available with advance notice no later than 3:00 p.m. the day before
the scheduled trip. 

Bus Stops are located in Wickenburg at the Wickenburg Municipal Complex, 155 N. Tegner, and at West Plaza Shopping Center, Vulture Mine Road and West Wickenburg Way.

The service offers transit for residents and employees who travel from north Glendale area and Surprise to Wickenburg for employment and entertainment, and to residents & employees of Wickenburg who seek services not available in the local area.  The fee is $4 for a one-way trip, exact fare required. ADA certified.

Medical & Senior Services Transportation – Maricopa County Program
48 Hour notice for transporting seniors to medical appointments.  The service is limited to senior citizens, low income and physically challenged individuals. Call 1-800-550-2211

If you want to take the hassle out of traveling to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, there are companies that provide transportation to and from Wickenburg.  Check here or call the office for referrals at 800-942-5242

 

WICKENBURG PARKS

Places to play and enjoy outdoor activities include the following Town of Wickenburg amenities.

Coffinger Park – located off of US Highway 93 – Tegner Street at Swilling Road.  Municipal Pool opens Memorial Day through Labor Day.  Skate Park, Lighted Tennis Courts, Softball Field, Horseshoe Pits, Ramada & Recreation Building available for rent and shaded grassy area with picnic tables and water fountains.

Coffinger Park

Stone Park – located between Yavapai Street and Apache Street off of Tegner (US Hwy 93) in the historic district, between the Wickenburg Municipal Complex and Wickenburg Public Library.  Picnic tables, shaded trees, enjoyable setting in historic downtown.

McGuire Park- Located off of West Wickenburg Way, south on Kellis Road and right off of America Street.Small neighborhood park with Ramada, basketball hoops and water fountain.

Wishing Well Park – located on the north side of  U S Highway 93-60 & Kerkes Street.  Small park with historic wishing well and Hassayampa Legend information.  Picnic table and small parking area.

Sunset Park – located west of downtown on U S Highway 60 –West Wickenburg Way near the Airport. Multi-use facility, soccer and baseball fields, lighted tennis courts, restrooms and beautiful view of surrounding mountains. A multi-use path on the north side of the highway connects you to the park.

Boetto Park – Beautifully created under mature Mesquite Trees, lighted, restrooms, picnic tables, benches, walking paths, outdoor exercise equipment, and historical information about the area.
