Festivities begin with a shoot-out on Frontier Street that kicks of a wild rootin’-tootin’ western weekend. Spectators line the streets on Saturday as one of the largest parades in Arizona passes by. Cowboys from all over the country gather on Saturday and Sunday afternoon to participate in the rodeo. In the area around the Community Center families can enjoy a carnival, food booths, and arts and crafts.

Wickenburg Gold Rush Days paradeA Tradition as old as the town itself, Gold Rush Days has become a part of Wickenburg’s heritage. Contest events are enjoyable to watch and educational as well. See gold panning, a mucking and drilling contest, and other activities relating to the gold fever that created the town.

Music, dancing, a real old-fashioned melodrama, horses, floats and food – it’s all a part of Wickenburg’s most action packed weekend of the year.
